]]> http://jenniferwantsababy.wordpress.com/2007/04/03/beautiful-day-today/feed/ 0 jenniferwantsababy http://jenniferwantsababy.wordpress.com/2007/03/30/high-pressure-parents/ http://jenniferwantsababy.wordpress.com/2007/03/30/high-pressure-parents/#comments Fri, 30 Mar 2007 11:37:35 +0000 jenniferwantsababy http://jenniferwantsababy.wordpress.com/2007/03/30/high-pressure-parents/ ]]> I was at my daugher’s dance class last night.  There was this older dad and a mom their watching their 3 year old in dance class.  The dad first starts annoying me as he is complaining about his daughter just standing there and not doing anything.  Then the little girl comes out of the class crying that she doesn’t want to go.  So the dad starts asking her why she didn’t tell him earlier if she didn’t want to go.  I am thinking she’s 3 you idiot.  Three year olds don’t have forethought.  They don’t think that far ahead and they are very subject to changing their mind.  Anyways so he eventually convinces her to go back to class even though she is clearly upset and doesn’t want to be there.  After the tap class, the girls all come out and I am getting ready to go home, when I realize that this little girl’s dad is changing her shoes and getting ready to send her off to balet class.  For the life of me I cannot understand why someone would sign a three year old up for two back to back dance classes.  I send my girls there to have fun.  If they don’t want to go, they certainly don’t have to.  I just can’t understand parents like that.
